Pre-Requisites:
Delegates attending this course are required to have a minimum level of “expected prior knowledge” in the following areas:
- Explain the purpose of an ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, Environmental management systems standards, and the business benefits of improved performance of the Environmental Management System.
- Outline the structure and content of ISO 14001 and its relationship with ISO 9000.
- Explain the specific Environmental Management related requirements of ISO 14001. This knowledge may be gained by Completing an IRCA-certified OHSMS Foundation Training course or equivalent.
Learning Outcome:
After completing this course, delegates will acquire the following abilities:
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of the purpose behind ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems (EMS), Environmental Management System standards, management system audits, third-party certification, and the business advantages of enhancing EMS performance.
- Comprehend the role of an auditor in effectively planning, executing, documenting, and ensuring appropriate follow-up actions for an Environmental Management System audit, aligning with the guidelines outlined in ISO 19011 and ISO/IEC 17021.
- Develop the necessary skills to proficiently plan, execute, document, and follow up on an audit of an Environmental Management System to assess conformity with ISO 14001:2015, while adhering to the principles laid out in ISO 19011 and ISO/IEC 17021.

Examination:
ISO 14001 Environmental Management System course includes a 2 hours examination and on successful completion, delegates will be awarded a certificate of achievement. In case the delegate does not qualify for the exam but attended the full course can re-sit for the exam within 12 months of the course end date.
